Where does SmartBrix provide construction services?
SmartBrix presents operations and projects in Colombia and Panama and accepts enquiries for Central America and the Caribbean. Actual coverage, local contracting, logistics and permits are confirmed for each location.
What does a turnkey construction contract include?
It includes the work expressly agreed in the contract up to the defined handover. Request a responsibility matrix for design, permits, foundations, structure, envelope, services, finishes, testing and delivery. A price per square metre does not automatically include every item.
How much does a steel framing building cost?
Cost depends on country, city, area, geometry, floors, loads, ground conditions, envelope, services and finishes. A project quotation is required. A published structural supply range for Panama is neither a turnkey price nor a price automatically applicable to Colombia.
How long does a project take?
The programme includes design, permits, site preparation, foundations, fabrication, transport, erection, services and finishes. Some tasks can overlap. Request a schedule with a defined start, milestones, dependencies and scope; the structural erection rate is different from total building delivery time.
Are steel framing and modular construction the same?
No. Steel framing describes a structural system of cold-formed steel profiles. Modular construction describes a way to prefabricate and organize spaces. A modular project can use a steel structure, but the system and degree of completion must be specified separately.
Who handles permits and structural calculations?
The proposal should allocate each approval and design responsibility. Engineering is coordinated with PEB Corp and adapted to the project location’s applicable requirements. Local approval and professional-signature requirements are checked before the relevant work begins.
What should I check for a coastal or high-wind project?
Request site-specific design criteria, anchorage and connection details, coating specifications, envelope requirements and maintenance provisions. Building resistance depends on the complete system and design; it cannot be inferred from the material or a wind speed published for another project.
Will the steel structure be visible in the completed building?
That depends on the architectural design. Different façades and finishes are possible. Thermal insulation, acoustic performance, fire protection and moisture control must also be specified. Confirm the assemblies and performance included in your proposal.
Where can I review completed projects?
Review the SmartBrix projects section and PEB Group case studies. Ask for references comparable in use, size and location, with an explanation of the work delivered. One project’s metrics do not guarantee another project’s outcome.
Who manufactures the steel, and can I buy it separately?

Which documents should I request before signing?
